Content & Intellectual Property Policy

effective date: 06/08/26

overview

This policy describes how The Collective Dance Agency LLC (“The Collective Dance Agency” or “CDA”) handles creative content and intellectual property submitted, shared, or captured through our Services.

Ownership of your content

You retain ownership of the original content you create and submit to CDA, including:

  • Performance footage, reels, headshots, and photos.

  • Choreography descriptions or concepts you have the right to share.

  • Written bios, resumes, and portfolio documents.

  • Project briefs, Listings, or creative concepts you post.

CDA does not claim ownership of your underlying creative works simply because you share them with us.

License you grant to cda

To operate and promote the Services, you grant CDA a limited, non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to:

  • Host, store, reproduce, format, and display your content.

  • Use your content to review applications, share with potential clients for opportunities, and operate the job board.

  • Use your content in CDA marketing (website, social media, decks, and similar channels) when reasonably connected to promoting CDA or your professional work.

This license lasts only as long as your content is on our systems and for any reasonable archival or legal purposes after removal.

Filming and content created with cda

As part of memberships or services, CDA may capture video or photo content featuring your participation in rehearsals, classes, events, or other sessions with your knowledge.

  • You retain your performance rights in that content, subject to any venue or third‑party restrictions.

  • CDA may edit and package this content to help showcase your work and CDA’s community.

  • CDA may post this content on CDA platforms, including our website and social channels, to highlight opportunities, showcase talent, or promote our Services.

You may typically repost CDA‑shared content on your own platforms for portfolio and promotional purposes, as long as you do not misrepresent the context and you provide reasonable credit to CDA where practical.

If you want CDA to stop using a particular piece of content in future posts, you may contact us. CDA may not be able to remove all past uses (for example, content already shared by others), but we will review future use requests in good faith.

Limits on using other users’ content

You may not:

  • Download, copy, scrape, or reuse other users’ content from CDA without permission (unless clearly allowed by law).

  • Use others’ headshots, reels, or choreographic materials as your own.

  • Train AI models on content from CDA without explicit written permission.

Access to content through CDA does not grant you ownership or automatic reuse rights.

User warranties

By submitting content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have the right to share it.

  • The content does not infringe anyone else’s copyrights, trademarks, privacy, or publicity rights.

  • Any identifiable persons in the content have given permissions reasonably necessary for the intended use.

  • The content is accurate and not materially misleading.

Takedown requests and complaints

If you believe that content on CDA infringes your rights or was shared without authorization, please contact us with:

  • Your name and contact information.

  • A description of the content and why you believe it infringes your rights.

  • Where the content appears (URL or other location).

  • Any supporting documentation you can provide.

CDA may remove or restrict access to content while we review the complaint, request more information, or take other steps we believe appropriate.

Repeat violations

CDA may remove content, limit access, or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others or seriously violate this policy.

Feedback

If you share suggestions, ideas, or feedback about CDA, we may use them without obligation to compensate you, as long as doing so does not override your rights in separately protected creative works.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Content & Intellectual Property Policy over time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
