Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Answers to common questions about memberships, services, and how CDA works.
What is the collective dance agency (cda)?
1
The Collective Dance Agency (CDA) is a member-based creative platform designed for dancers, choreographers, and movement artists to share work, build professional visibility, and connect with one another.
CDA is not a traditional talent agency or social media platform. It exists to give artists more control over how their work is presented and shared—without algorithm pressure or gatekeeping.
what does a cda membership include?
2
CDA membership provides access to the CDA platform, including the ability to create a professional profile, upload and showcase your work, and engage with other members in the community.
Membership offers visibility and connection, but it does not guarantee paid work, bookings, or employment.
CDA offers optional, one-time professional support services designed to help members refine how their work is presented and prepare materials for professional contexts.
Services include portfolio and profile support, reel and work review, and opportunity or submission guidance. All services are designed to support clarity—not to promise outcomes.
3
What services do you offer?
Can I book services without being a member?
4

5
No. CDA services do not guarantee paid opportunities, bookings, or employment.
Services provide professional guidance and feedback only. All creative and career outcomes remain the responsibility of the individual artist.

client talent Request Deposit FAQs
What happens after I submit a talent request?
1
After you submit your request, CDA reviews the project details to ensure clarity and readiness. We will reach out if we need additional information, then we begin the process of identifying members who align with your needs.
You will receive a confirmation email with next steps and an estimated timeline for talent outreach.
CDA uses the details you provide in the request form to match your needs with member profiles that best fit your criteria (style, experience, location, etc.). We do not guarantee specific artists, but we do facilitate connections with members whose work aligns with your description.
How does CDA identify suitable talent for my project?
2
Once introductions are made, clients and artists communicate directly to discuss details like scope, compensation, scheduling, contracts, and other logistics. CDA does not negotiate contracts or handle project management — we facilitate connection and clarity.
What happens once talent is proposed/connected?
3
A refundable deposit secures administrative review of your request and indicates commitment to the process. If your request cannot be fulfilled due to a lack of suitable talent or project misalignment, the deposit is fully refundable according to CDA’s Talent Request Policy.
Once introductions begin, the deposit can be applied toward facilitation fees or a full service payment as agreed.
Is the deposit refundable, and how does it work?
4
No. Submitting a request and paying a deposit does not guarantee that a specific artist will be available or choose to participate in your project. CDA helps facilitate introductions, but final engagement depends on mutual agreement between you and the artist.
Does this guarantee that I will book talent?
5
6
How soon will I receive responses or proposals?
Response timelines vary based on project details, availability of talent, and completeness of your request. CDA will provide an estimated timeline in your confirmation email when you submit your request.
After introductions are made, you and the artist negotiate terms directly. Payment methods, contracts, and schedules are agreed upon between both parties. CDA does not handle payments or contractual arrangements between clients and artists.
How do payment and contracts work with artists?
7
8
Clients can request dancers or choreographers for a wide range of creative needs, including but not limited to:
Performance projects
Events and showcases
Workshops and instruction
Choreography work
Brand and commercial projects
Creative collaborations
Be as specific as possible in your request for the best matches.
What types of projects can I request talent for?
CDA prioritizes clarity, respect, and transparency. Unlike traditional gatekeeping models:
We connect you directly with talent in a structured process
There are no hidden fees, algorithm dependencies, or opaque auditions
Talents maintain professional autonomy
Your project details are matched to member portfolios with purpose
This makes the process more collaborative, respectful, and aligned with modern creative workflows.
Why work with CDA instead of a traditional agency or platform?
9
Future expansions may include:
Dedicated client booking portals
Talent directories and showcases
Long-term partnership programs
Event-based collaborations and summits
CDA is growing intentionally — with quality over quantity.firmed before booking, ensuring clarity for all parties.
